We want to prepare for the future, when fossil fuels like oil & gas aren’t available, and we have to lead a simpler, more environmentally- friendly life. If we don’t start making changes now, the global temperatures will rise so much that the effects on all of us will be devastating – and the poorer parts of the world who haven’t contributed to the situation will feel those effects first and worst. Changing our lifestyles won’t be all bad - we’ll probably find it’s great to be off the shopping treadmill and to ensure that today’s youngsters have a future to look forward to.
